Hello dear people, People of my own heart... Horses and equines can get caught in fences.

I’m still interested (or nosey really 🙂), to how in the end Anna met you. ………… just by thumbing through the items on UA-cam several months ago-I came across Anna’s story from a local news channel in Yorkshire. I must say that I was in awe and amazed of the way she had chosen to live her life in her house. I remember her saying it was difficult to find someone to share her life with the love of old 1930/40s items and ways. So how did Anna find Peter 🙂

Please donkeys need a companion, horse, goat , donkey. Plus coats aren’t waterproof so need shelter

Perfectly understandable they have trauma from what happened maybe you can build another in another part of the outbuilding and repurpose the old chicken housing. You can always clad over the lower half for the gaps in the outer fencing I guess. Great tool for sawing :)

You are not alone losing your chickens. Just heard Stephanie at Lalande had the same problem a couple of weeks ago and only two survived. Sad. 🍷🍷🇬🇧🇬🇧

I am hoping that you are both feeling better after the polecat attack. It is understandable that the chickens do not, at the moment, want to return to where it happened. I understand that chickens have a sense of smell and they will have the scent of the creature in their house. A good scrub down with a vinegar solution may help there.

You’ll have to install motion detection night vision cameras up next to protect the chicks, so Annie can relax.

Sadly here in the USA, the city government tear down old buildings and rebuild them out of metal! I hate that!!! Old buildings have a soul and a story that needs preserving!

Great job, but there’s every chance the pole cat or whatever the animal was that killed the poor chickens will do the same again, please check the hen house and don’t trust the automatic door ❤🇬🇧
